Charlotte Home Inspector Finds A Moisture Problem on Inspection on Selwyn Ave

October 2nd, 2010 · No Comments

Charlotte Home Inspector Preston Sandlin was recently inspecting a house on Selwyn Ave in Charlotte NC when when he dicovered a poor drainage sitiution that was leading to moisture in the crawl space.  This drainage should be corrected as it lead to mold and wood rot.  Check your crawl space to make sure you don’t have any water.  Make sure all your downspouts are diverted away from the house and that all the crawl vents have at least a “2 clearance from the groundcover or else they need vent wells.
