November 3rd, 2010 · No Comments

Chrlotte home inspector Preston Sandlin was recently inspecting a home Piper Glen when he noticed a damaged plumbing boot on the right side of the house.  The plumbing boot is a rubber piece of flashing used to make the transition from the plumbing vent pipe or stack to the roofing shingles.  The problem is that these boots usuall only last 8 or 9 years while the rest of the roof will probably last 16-20 years.  Check your plumbing boots for cracking today.
