Charlotte Home Inspector Finds Vent Too Close to Ground

November 7th, 2010 · No Comments

Charlotte Home Inspector Prston Sandlin of Home Inspection Carolina recently inspected a house in the Derita area of Charlotte when he found a crawl vent at grade level.  All craw vents are suppose to have a “2 clearnace fom the bottom of the crawl vent to the ground cover.  If not they should have a vent well. The purpose of a vent is to to allow air in but to keep water out.
