September 5th, 2011 · No Comments

Charlotte NC home inspector Preston Sandlin has added a new tool to Home Inspection Carolina’s Inspection Services.  They have added Infrared Thermal Imaging Scanning. With Infrared you scan the surface temperature and you look for anomalies.  Usually when there is some sort of anomaly there is something going on that needs to be investigated furter.  It could be as simple as missing insulation like you see in this picture or there could be a moisture leak or a duct problem or a few other possiblitlies.  One thing for sure is that the infrared thermal imaging camera allows you to see more than you can see with the naked eye.  If you are moving to the Charlotte area and you interested in getting the most thorough inspection possible including infrared thermal imaging call Home Inspection Carolina.
