Charlotte Home Inspector Reveal Out of Date Panel Box

April 14th, 2012 · No Comments

Home Inspection Carolina was recently inspecting a home on the East side of Charlotte NC when they noted this 100 Amp panel box which is out of date by today’s standards. This is the original panel box for the house when it was built in the 1950’s this 100 Amp service panel would be adequate for the the appliances at the time.  The problem is that now we have dishwashers, washing machines, tv’s stereo’s dvd players, etc.  Al these new modern appliances draw much more current than is availible from this 100 Amp box.  The breakers will continously flip if not updated.  We recommend that this panel box is increased up to a 200 Amp panel.
